THE SEATTLE AQUARIUM'S OCEAN PAVILION
The centerpiece of Seattle’s revitalized waterfront, the Ocean Pavilion will demonstrate our region’s global conservation leadership to millions of people—from locals to visitors from all over the world. This expansion of the Seattle Aquarium will also bring a variety of no-cost experiences to the estimated 15 million people who will visit our city’s waterfront each year. A viewing window will provide a look into the Ocean Pavilion’s largest habitat. Public spaces on and around the building will feature installations by local Indigenous artists. The public rooftop, featuring unparalleled views out to the Salish Sea, will help create a long-awaited, accessible connection between downtown’s Pike Place Market and the waterfront. And just outside the Ocean Pavilion’s front doors will be the city’s new, 20-acre Waterfront Park, ready for strolling and exploring.
